‘High-Speed’ Train: Stockholm → Copenhagen – 5 Hours

With responsibilities of real-life roaring at me through family / friends & email, the sad part of the end of the adventure is coming to a head.  if i have my facts right this will be the longest train ride i’ve ever done… and man is it sobering.  almost depressing…

To-do:

1)   update this thing

2)   all virtual school errands

3)   book hostel for 2 nights

Looking back here are some things i’ve been contemplating about life:

1)   We should give, share, build, create

  1. there’s a book out there called Do what you love and the money will follow.  Not necessary to read, but essentially it says to follow your passion.  in reading about steve Jobs from his biography and from other sources he really wasn’t that passionate about computers per say initially but he found a niche in putting pCs together very early on and knew he could make money from it.  then it all spun together from there.so in a nutshell he found his niche, knew he could be good at it, took the risk, and went for it!  so do whatever will help you get to where you want to be (without violating other’s rights of course).  Do whatever you will be good at it, because you’ll like it when you’re successful, and you can share, give, create, build for humanity with your gifts!  Next thing you know the world will pay you back in kind…so you don’t have to do “what you love” or “what you’re passionate about” just do what you’re good at and the love and passion will come.  and it’s up to you to find out what that is!

i.     Here’s an article i read from my facebook post (sorry but i forgot who shared it on the feed) – http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-harsh-truths-that-will-make-you-better-person/

ii.     Reading some sections in a book about Kabbalah

iii.     the Ted Talk by Mike Rowe in my blog post: i wish we could just plug ourselves in an outlet and recharge

2)   stereotypes and generalizations are just that… generalizations

  1.  i think we all know this one, but we all still fall victim to it’s ignorance once in a while

i.     i’ve been told that scandinavians are “cold” and not just temperature but in demeanor.  90% of the people i met were friendly, helped me, and were more than eager for conversation.  i believe that there’s a ton of power with a smile and a little bit of small talk.  (Heck, maybe they wanted to practice their English from someone who sounds like their TV)

ii.     all americans are like ___ (fill in the blank)_____.  there is no way you can generalize americans!  We have every type of person!  i’ve shared with the people i’ve met that the only real thing you can say about americans is that they are 1) arrogant about their country because they are 2) ignorant about the rest of the world (i will talk more about this later).

3)   i will add a product, service, or lifestyle recommendation from now on in every blog post

  1. Maybe this is selling out but who knows, but it can help people and maybe me too!  it will be part of my new lifestyle to give and share.

For my first recommendation i will put out a double recommendation and it will center around skin care… (how metro of me…) and i’ve been pretty completely cleared up since i implemented these:

Tip 1) try to use a new razor every time.  Or else you will be spreading around the bacteria that will give what you like to call “razor bumps” but it’s really just you breaking out

Tip 2) try to NOT have these ingredients in your hair products as much as possible. if you’re breaking out and it’s not in the “T-Zone” it’s way more likely that it’s something you are using here’s the list for future reference
