Hackathons, AI Promises, & You

I promise to keep all my blog posts genuine forever and ever. All words will be either fully written or speech-to-text'd.

Why should you care about my hackathon? Why did I bring in the buzzword, AI?

This $50,000 USD top prize hackathon, Colosseum Breakout is centered on expanding the Solana blockchain users with either better features or making the blockchain easier to use.

Now back to you, this hackathon actually highlights in a hyper rapid form what is to be expected in the world of corporate, tech, and business. Thinking about the expectations of the hackathaon's submission, you'll notice that

AI actually might be the thing that brings people back together again, because it's making us focus on marketing and interacting with people. Perhaps we will have more time to focus on connecting with each other and we can avoid doing the mundane (settings meetings, creating tasks, grocery shopping, refilling our fridges, doing research, etc.).

The downside is we may have to learn a thing or 2 about how to use AI and to get comfortable with it. The more I see my friends and colleagues shy away from AI the further and further behind I see their productivity and time go in the bin.

In this Hackathon, they're already assuming you will finish the software development. It's a hyperfocused way of saying that the real value is marketing and connecting it to users. Maybe it's always been that way anyway. I read somewhere recently and apologies for forgetting where the credit is due, but the big Start-up funders want to see more marketing than the tech itself. Can you grow your social media? Do you have people who want to buy and subscribe to your product before you've even launched it? How many followers do you have?

When have developers ever cared or dared to go after these kinds of metrics and value adds?

Now our project will allow you to create wallets on the blockchain with a bit of money on it already, making it easier for you and all the other "Web 2.0" folk to finally join the crypto craze & decentralized grass-is-greener dream world we've all been promised.

But the judges want to see engagement.. and so in today's day and age content seems to be a brute force of both quantity and quality. So onwards and upwards and hope you got the gist of what we're saying here.

More content is on the way and it'll always be authentic 100% guaranteed, AI is coming for the boring stuff, and we as devs have to learn on the soft & marketing skills (or there may be trouble ahead).
